Want to have some tips to staying in Alignment?

A few days ago, a friend wrote to me feeling saying that she had been in a wonderful flow and had felt that day that she had – in her words – “crashed”.  She had been feeling great, doing all sorts of things to look after herself, and then all of a sudden she felt things “fall down” all around her and she felt very, very down – down to a degree that she had hardly ever felt. 

She had been intending to become a client before this happened and is about to become one anyway.  I wrote her a message at the time which enabled her to realise how she could get herself back into her flow. 

Within days, she is buzzing and is back in her flow despite how down she was at the time.  She wrote to me this morning with a list of around 10 things that I had mentioned in my message to her which she had organised into a list.

(To give you the context of some of the points below, I’ve annotated some of them and put the annotations in brackets)



Hi Hemal,

I am going to re-read your note every day for the rest of my life! ha ha  Seriously, there are so many good points that you make there.

1. I love the idea of being “light and easy” with myself. You are right, the easier I allow myself to be, the better I feel! Do not disrupt flow…ok, got it!

(Do not beat yourself up and create resistance from your flow.  Be light and easy and gentle with yourself.  Let the energy flow, and let it build and grow.)

2. No beating self up…stay away from quicksand…excellent point!  Btw, I thought about quicksand a lot as a child…just remembered that…haha

(The languaging she was using was of “crashing” in having come out of her flow.  Understandably, due to the state that she was in at the time, she used the languaging a few times in her original message to me so I asked to her to focus instead on what she wanted (than on what was wrong, i.e. “crashing”).  It’s like quicksand – that’s the analogy I used.  The more we struggle, the more we get pulled in.  The more attention to what we don’t want, the more we ‘fight’, the more we can feel getting sucked in. 

So relax, get your attention away from that.  Don’t put your energy towards it.  Instead, be light and easy because your flow is ALWAYS there, it’s about you letting it in (and not fighting or resisting it).  You are always connected to your flow.  So relax, let it in.  Think thoughts that feel good, they are you letting in your flow.)

3. Relax and know it is ok to concentrate on “me”. I just want you to know that I never knew until a few years back that it is ok to love myself…unfortunately I think a lot of people are unaware of that. (Might make an excellent post for you in the future)

4. Get rid of unwanted thoughts by thinking of being in the “now”. Will try and just revert to breathing technique or mantra…I call on my higher self.

5. Begin thinking of one wonderful thing to appreciate and then add more to the list.

6. Good thoughts = positive flow!

7. Do things that feel genuinely good to you.

8. Do things that energetically have value for you.

(I said to her to consider the things she does, thinks and feels for their ‘energetic value’.  How do they feel?  My sense was she was getting drained because she was focusing on things which energetically didn’t feel great for her and she was ‘getting things done’ and ‘working away’ rather than being in her flow.  She focused on this, as I get my clients to do, and she felt herself driven to do things which were more compelling and had a higher ‘energetic value’ and very easily and naturally her flow came.  I got her to focus on how things felt to herself. 

I have even worked with Law of Attraction coaches in guiding them to making this a way in their lives and their businesses, love lives and many other things have skyrocketed.)

9. Allow yourself to create personal well being doing the things you love.

As Your Attention Grows on What You DO Want, It Lessens on What You Don’t

"One of the problems I have had in trying to manifest my goals is
…focus. It just dawned on me today as I was giving a cello lesson!
The mistakes I make when I play are often a matter of becoming
distracted…losing my focus. Here I am teaching a student to really
focus on her playing and I suddenly realized that that was what was
getting in my way with manifesting my life!!

That is the big
downfall for me….how can I improve my inner focus? It seems very
difficult to maintain focus day after day……"


Hi Alison,

There are two ways to increase focus:
1 – Lessen distractions (sometimes can be known as 'resistance', i.e. that other than what you want)
2 – Focus more on that which you want (practice/build the vibration of what you want)

are various ways to increase focus, one way is to focus on something,
for example you could focus on a goal or something that feels nice (or even an object) and
practice keeping your attention on it for longer and longer periods. So
initially you could start with 30 seconds and build it to a minute and
5mins and 10mins and so on

The idea is to focus on it as purely
as you can, without focusing on other things. If you happen to find
other things come up then as soon as you remember you get your focus
back on to that which you want to focus on and you continue the
sustained concentrated focus

That's one way for now, there are a lot of other ways to increase focus as covered in other articles here or on the teleclasses as well as to decrease distracting and resistant thoughts.


The other thing also is that as you increase your focus on that which you want, your attention will go away from the things that you don't wantAs your attention grows on that which you want, by virtue of Law of Attraction it will attract more thoughts of the same as it will grow and grow and grow.  When you focus on thoughts such as "I don't want to think (or do) this"  you are still giving more of your attention to that which you don't want, instead put your attention on what you DO WANT

Basically, as you practice focusing on more of what you do want and can create games around it and have fun, your focus will naturally increase.  Have you noticed how when you have fun focus tends to be any easier thing?  😉

So if you are trying to attract something such as a relationship or money for example, you could create a game where you have to think of as many positive fun things about it, you could set a target of thinking of 10 things and write them down, say three times a day.  As you are writing positive things about something your vibration around it is getting purer and purer (and it should feel fun too, not 'forced', keep it light and fun), you are getting into alignment with it, also your focus on it is increasing more and more.

How Do I Know What I Want?

Mohamed: (Paraphrased) I think that the most important point is to know what you really want,
It’s really difficult, for me at least, to know what I do want…

Look at it like a lump of clay you are going to mould, and your
questioning about what you want will enable you to get clarity in
closer sculpting/creating what you want

So you ask what you don’t want to get what you DO want

you’re finding that you don’t have clarity on what you don’t want or
what you do want, i.e. nothing is coming up, ask yourself what’s
about the decision? i.e. if you don’t have a preference of
what you do or don’t want, then why is it mattering? i.e. what are your
preferences ABOUT
the decision itself?
And they will give you criteria
and wants and don’t wants to work with

So you might say, ‘I’d
really like to decide what job to get, but I can’t think of what I like
or don’t like’
Ok, so why are you thinking about it, why is it even a
consideration, why is this even coming up for you?

‘Because I’ve
got to get a job, money, furthering myself etc’
Ok, money, furthering
yourself. What does furthering yourself mean? What does money mean to
you? And as you get clarity, also work then on getting onto the
feelings of those things

So say you’ve gotten clarity and you’re
saying ‘I want $x income a month and I’d like to have my own business
within a year’
, so ask yourself: How does that FEEL? What are the
essences to it?

So you could say ‘Well I’d feel so secure and
safe and actually a little rich with a consistent income, I’d feel
stable, in fact maybe even excited about the way things were going. I’d
certainly appreciate things a lot. And about having my own business,
wow, I’d be excited, that’d be so thrilling’
, so you have some FEELINGS
and essences, these are what will bring the universe to orchestrate
things with you, it responds to your vibration, and your emotions are
an indicator of that
Keep yourself around those feelings (and not on
the lack of them) and things around will you will move and you will
notice them and that will perpetuate more good things happening and so

Thanks for your response.
I have to make a step in this road, I have to decide
what I do want to be, because I feel so scared when I think that I may
keep thinking without taking an action until it’s too late.

So ask yourself what are you ‘scared’ of? i.e. you are fearful of
something you don’t want, use that to define what you want. You could
make a list of what would happen if you didn’t do this or that or what
could go wrong or what’s wrong with the various options, then use that
to define what you DO want, and that’s where the power will be

right now you feel comfortable taking some action then feel free to do
so. There is nothing wrong with taking action. The preference is to
line up vibrationally (with emotions) but it is also about lining up
with your beliefs, so if currently you’d feel better in taking some
action then feel free to do so. Ask yourself what would feel better
right now, whatever that is

Absolutely you want to make a step
in the road, what I mentioned above was a way of getting clarity on the
journey ahead of you. So you could take other action steps, or you
could take clarification steps (and when you have clarity you will feel
inspired and the actions will come very naturally anyway), either way
you will experience things which will give you more clarity on what you
do want and what you don’t want and you will be getting closer to what
you want.

And if you are in a place of fear, just work on
feeling slightly better, whatever that is. You have reached out and
asked for guidance/opinions, give yourself credit, you have taken
actions and done some things about it. Even if you hadn’t received
answers, give yourself credit nevertheless. And work on gently feeling
better. You don’t have to wait for the reality to change for you to
feel better, there are things you can feel better about right now,
which will change your reality anyway. But focus on your feelings about
it, and if for you that involves actions then so be it, it’s really
about what works for you.
